Shutter speed and Aperture.
Fast Shutter Speed F/3.5 1/800s- This photo is an example of a fast shutter speed, the photo was tacken at 1/800s which when set to this shutter speed will freeze any object or person, by using this setting you can capture people jumping whilst they are in the air, also object being dropped from a height can be shot while in mid air. As the shutter speed is increased more faster objects can be captured without any blur. Such as sports where the subject is moving or jumping in the air. Slow Shutter speed F3.5 1/15s- The shutter speed for this photo has been set to a low setting, by doing this moving object will a blur on the photo almost like smoke. This can be good for photos of water as the water become soft and milky like. The person in the photo was walking and past and by focusing on the persona and moving with him, the background will be out of focus but the subject will remain in focus, this is known as paning.
